How does Moments work?
Moments connects you with someone nearby for a spontaneous 1–2 hour conversation based on a shared vibe — same venue, same time, same topic, same mood (song included). You create a “Moment” in just a few taps. No planning. No pressure. Just now.
Where is Moments currently available?
Moments is currently open to selected university campuses, starting with Queen Mary University of London. We’re expanding soon to local areas like Hackney, Shoreditch, and other London neighbourhoods.
How does Moments decide who I meet?
We match you with someone who picked the same place, same time, and similar vibe — whether it’s a coffee break, a pub pause, or a shared craving for something unplanned.
Will I know anything about them before the meetup?
Yes, but just a little. You’ll see their first name, shared moment details, a short self-intro, and their chosen mood song — enough to feel intrigued, not overwhelmed.
What if plans change at the last minute?
No stress. If something comes up, you can cancel in the app. If there’s time, we’ll try to re-match the other person — or just keep the vibe for next time.
How often can I go on a Moments meetup?
For now, we’re keeping it simple: one meetup per day, with a weekly limit (just to make sure we maintain high-quality matches and avoid mismatches). As we grow and the network gets stronger, we’ll open things up.
What kinds of places can I choose?
At this early stage, Moments only supports third-party public places — like cafés, pubs, bars, and restaurants — for safety reasons. Right now, you’ll see a curated list of spots near campus to ensure better-quality matching.
As we grow, you’ll be able to choose from more locations via Google Maps — so you can meet people who share your taste, right in your own neighbourhood.
